Masking itself is not a new feature in Flexi. It can be a useful feature for many reasons such as printing only a certain part of a larger design or image, creating certain shapes within a design and much more. However, to make this feature more efficient we have added some keyboard shortcuts to this workflow. You will still be able to use the old workflows. If you are unfamiliar with how to do masking, please see this article.
Masking with Keyboard Shortcuts
- Select the two objects that you would like to mask and make sure they are arranged on top of each other in the position you would like.
- Now on your keyboard press the “control,” “shift,” and “M” keys at the same time. Your objects should now be masked.
Unmasking with Keyboard Shortcuts
- Select the object that you would like to unmask.
- Now on your keyboard press the “control,” “shift,” and the “U” key at the same time. Your artwork should now be unmasked.
- Similarly, to unmask all, select the object you wish to unmask and press the “control,” “shift,” and “W” keys at the same time.
