This tool can be found under the Draw Menu, or its icon on the tool bars.
Bitmap artwork must be converted to vectors before it can be used to generate toolpaths. This tool traces bitmaps and converts it to vectors.
For the best results, clean up bitmaps before vectorizing by removing speckling and unwanted detail. Make sure the contours to be vectorized are closed contours. If possible, convert the image to gray scale or black and white.
Parameters
Bezier | Favor the creation of bezier segments when approximating the bitmap |
Enhanced Corners | Create a contour with distinct corners where possible |
Enhanced Curves | Favor the creation of arc segments when approximating the bitmap |
Auto Cleanup | Automatically simplify the created contours |
Tolerance | Specify the smallest feature on the bitmap to keep when cleaning up the created contours |

Import the bitmap into the design and select it

Activate the Vectorize bitmap command

Set the vectorization parameters and click OK
