Deskewing is the function of leveling an object that is slightly skewed. This tool allows you to define a new baseline, or the bottom or side of the object.
To Deskew an object:
- Select the objects.
- From the Arrange menu, point to Deskew and select either Horizontal or Vertical.
- Horizontal defines what the new bottom of the object will be, allowing you to straighten it according to the bottom.
- Vertical defines what the new left side of the object will be, allowing you to straighten it according to the left side.
-
Click and drag to create the baseline. You should draw the line along the edge you are trying to
- Alternatively, you can click the corner of the object, then click the corresponding corner to draw a direct line between the two for defining the baseline. This will produce a much more accurate baseline. You will see your cursor change into a square with a crosshair.
