The Fill/Stroke editor controls the Stroke (the line round the object) and the Fill (the color or pattern that fills the object) of a vector object, including shapes and text. This tool is essential for coloring vector objects in your design.
To open the Fill/Stroke Editor:
- Click the icon on the Standard Toolbar
- Go to View > Fill/Stroke Editor
- The "I" key on your keyboard is the default shortcut.
There are 3 tabs in the Fill Stroke Editor:
- Fill: This controls the colored space within a vector object. You can apply solid colors, patterns, and gradients here. You can also remove the fill, leaving the object as a stroke.
- Fill Articles:
- No Fill: leaves the space inside the vector transparent. If there is no stroke, the vector will not be visible.
